My Wife Went To New York and All I Got Was This Stinking Cookbook

Lidia's Italian-American Kitchen Cookbook Ahhh, but it's signed by the Lidia herself, so that makes it all Wikked Pissa. As noted earlier, Francie met up in New York for a couple of days with her mom from Denver and her Sister from L.A. to do some Cotton women reunioning. One night, Thursday, I think, they went to Felidia, the main restaurant in the Lidia Matticchio Bastianich empire. Before Mario, Lidia and her PBS show turned me on to Italian cooking, with it's emphasis on good ingredients cooked only so as to make them better. That show taught me all about fresh fava beans, cleaning squid and finishing pasta in it's sauce (rather than just pouring sauce over pasta on the plate). She's definitely an Honest Cuisine level cooking hero, and if you've never seen her show or bought one of her books, I strongly recommed either or both. Of course, my book is autographed, nyah-nanyahnyah-nyah-nyah.
